Peace Implementation is understanding that peace is a journey, not a moment in time. To be successful the people returning to their homes and villages must find water, medicine, food and healing from trauma. These are the basic ingredients of a lasting peace.
The grassroots strategy is just that, local warring factions in each state come together, talk grievances out and work towards holistic solutions that empower the South Sudanese to flourish.
But a peaceful prosperous South Sudan without trauma healing, is not a long term healthy strategy. We are training community leaders, chaplains and most important, women to bring the power of story telling to trauma victims for nation in need of healing.

The greatest challenge is the affordability and consistent supply of medications. To address this pressing need, Water is Basic and Impact AO have partnered to develop the Medical Provisions for the People of South Sudan Fund.
